Kaffe thank you, but no thank you at the moment.
Bonkers came through with a list of some foods that IBD folks are finding helpful.
While I was out buying up all sorts of canned food today DH was bringing cooked chicken and rice to Rufus every half hour and Ruf was eating on his own.
When I got home Rufus was coming out from the litterbox room and he was chattering like mad at me. He led me back to the room and I thought I was going to find a big disaster.
Instead, he walked me to one of the boxes and was chirping wildly. There, in the box was a wee bit of poo. The color was right, it did not burn my eyes and the best of the best was.....................it had shape. They were a little thinner than pencils, but they were shaped!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about the gory detail, but this has never happened before

I looked at him and said, "Is that from you? Did you do that? That's so very pretty"
With that, he began to purr so very loudly and left the room with his tail up in the air and as straight as a rod!!!!! He has never walked with his tail up since the day we brought him home. He always carried his tail in line with his back or hanging down.
Best for me was his little tush was very clean and did not look all sore and raw.
Tonight's dinner was Kaffe's roast pork tenderloin.
DH had a variation and he was in his glory.
Catlets are all in various sleep positions, snoring and purring..............including Rufus
