Forum Member Guidelines

Respect each other.
Be respectful of other forum members. Disagreeing with others can sometimes spark a conversation and make it more interesting. However, posting comments that are slanderous, disrespectful, discriminatory, threatening or in any way harmful about, or toward, other members are not acceptable uses of the boards. These posts will be removed.

Be mindful of copyright issues
All material posted or uploaded to the forum remains the property of the original poster and The Pet Food List, is the licensed distributor of such content. Keep in mind that while copying small snippets of text may be acceptable, a link back to the original post is most appropriate. Similarly, pasting items here that you have found elsewhere should be accompanied by a link attributing the original author.

Keep private information private.
Protect your own safety. Do not post your phone number, address, e-mail address or any other uniquely identifying information about yourself or other forum members. Remember, once you post a message online, it is available to anyone who wants to read it.

We do not allow:

• Foul or explicit language.
• Posting comments that are slanderous, disrespectful, discriminatory, threatening or in any way harmful about, or toward, other members.
• Cross posting messages (posting the same message to multiple boards)
• Posting messages that contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or other destructive messages.
• Advertisements for products or services.
• Cross posting messages (posting the same message to multiple boards).
• Bashing a competitor's products or services

You are responsible for your own words or actions, and what you post.
The Pet Food List accepts no liability for the content of any postings on the boards nor do we endorse opinions or advice that may be represented. It is your responsibility to evaluate any information found on the boards. Additionally, we accept no liability for results that may stem from actions taken in response to information posted on the forum. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Pet Food List and PetsitUSA.com for any claim that arises as a result of messages you may post or that you may read on this website.

The Pet Food List will not be held liable for postings that are in violation of copyright laws.

Seek medical advice from your pet care provider.
Keep in mind that although other forum members may post something that sounds useful, only you and your pet care provider know your pet's individual needs. Talk to your veterinarian or other pet care provider about concerns you may have before starting any new health regimens.

We value what you have to say.
Messages that are posted to the boards may be included in other parts of the site, newsletters, and advertising or for other uses deemed appropriate by The Pet Food List. By posting to the boards, you are granting The Pet Food List the right to do so without compensation.

We are under no obligation to review messages.
The Pet Food List is under no obligation to review messages on the boards. However, we do reserve the right to edit or delete any messages that are considered in violation of the Member Guidelines or our Terms of Service. We also reserve the right to remove any posts that we deem inappropriate for any reason at our discretion. And, at times we may move messages from one discussion to another if a may be more appropriate somewhere other than where it was originally posted.

We'll do our best to keep the boards working.
The Pet Food List strives to have the message boards up at all times, however we make no warranty in regards to their availability as periodic outages may occur.

A few last words about the guidelines.
These guidelines may be amended to or changed at any time without notice. Your participation in the The Pet Food List forums acknowledges your understanding of these guidelines and agreement to abide by them.

We reserve the right to cancel memberships of those who violate these guidelines.

A few words about advertising:
The Pet Food List forums are not intended as a way for pet food companies to advertise their products.

If you represent a pet food company we welcome to you enter into the conversations just as any other member, but please identify yourself as a representative of your company. However, please be mindful of the fact that excessive posting on your company's behalf may be viewed as advertising.

If you'd like to include your business name and a link to your website in your signature line, that's perfectly acceptable. We ask that you keep signature lines to no more than 4 lines.

What is considered as advertising is at our sole discretion.
