Someone named Kiki posted on itchmo that

"...... I just opened a bag of Karma ORANIC dry dog food by NaturaPet and it is like nothing I have ever seen before - it was the nastiest, smelliest, most horrendous bag of dog food I have ever seen.......... I am having this bag tested.......... That was Karma dry dog food by naturapet"

I looked up the ingredients of Karma on the Natura site, Rice Protein is one of the ingredients. Tainted Rice Protein is said to be the cause of the NB recall.

This just keeps getting scarier. I've been feeding samples of Natura Cal Natural to my guy for the last week. When the samples run out I will be calling Natura a second time; I'm a little scared to purchase a new bag at the moment, although Rice Protein is not SUPPOSED to be an ingredient in Cal Natural.

Oh great. I just recommended Cal Nat again in another thread, and now this. Sweet chocolate Jesus, this is getting bad.

BTW, there is a specific Karma sub-forum. Didn't you see it?

No I didn't. I was looking for Natura. I've been up since 11 last night (it's 5:30 now where I am).

I've also been reccomending Cal Natural. At least it doesn't list Rice Protein as an ingredient like Karma does.

I just posted on the Cal Nat thread - one of my five cats has vomited a huge amount this morning and I opened a bag of Cal Nat chicken and rice this weekend.  This scares me to death!

Tell me abouit it! That's been my guys' dry food for a few weeks now.  Undecided

How did teh food smell? I find it to have a pretty robust and almost meaty aroma, unlike the usual smell of dry cat food which usually reminds me of ass and feet.
