Only this time it is the human food chain that is affected instead of our beloved pets food.
Frosty, there are pet food recalls because of the peanut "paste" contamination recall. Several makers of dog treats use the peanut paste in their ingredients. It's best to read the labels of the dog treats to see if any peanut butter or flavors are ingredients. I'll dig up the recall notices on the recalled dog treats and post later.
The quote above about pet foods was in relation to the 2007 Menu Foods debacle. The point I was trying to make is that THIS recall is getting the attention of government officials because it is mainly human food this time around and not just pet food.
The FDA links that I posted above do list the many pet foods that are also recalled because of the peanut paste that they contain.
