They only have fish-based dinners, though. I prefer Chicken and Turkey for the smell and possible fish allergies. But, this stuff sounds awesome.

(Then again, when I was a kid, I had a cat that lived until 18, and only ate Figaro brand Tuna for Cats, the cheapest canned crap ever made. So, fish can't be too bad for cats.)

I got a couple of cans of Tikki, but I've been too afraid to open them. Ingerdeints look good, but I guess I'll just stick to Aixia and Inaba until this blows over. I opened one Almo nature yesterday but they didn't want to eat it.

Why are you afraid to open them?

Nothing bad about the food, just after NB recall I feel less confident about introducing new uncertainties. My cats are getting less variety than usual that's why I ordered it in the first place, than I've seen NB recall info. Since NB venison and Peas does not contain gluten, who knows what is the problem. Tiki really looks good, but until it is discovered what the problem is I guess it will just sit in the cupboard, because I have no way to tell what is safe to feed now.

I can see what you mean. New recalls every day, it seems. Sticking with what's not killing them seems to be a safe choice for now.

Yes, but I would like to have a bit more variety of safe stuff. Nothing seems 100% safe, and they would have a better chance of survival in case the food is affected if it isn;t the only thing they were eating. Besides, this has lasted for a month now, if it lasts much longer I'll worry about whether their diet is balanced without as much variety as usual.

I am still in shock over RICE concentrate in grain free cat food. If labels can't be trusted, how do I know what is safe?

I am now in the process of trying Tiki for my cat.  So far he loves the tuna and tilapia on rice.  If you go on the website, they give you pretty good info. about what ingredients are used and why.  I was comfortable in trying it, and when I looked at the food, it really seemed like real fish.  I am going to try some of the other varieties this week, so I'll let everyone know.  Be careful to read though, as a couple of the types contain corn flour (if you have corn issues).

Anyone else tried it?

The pet food store I've been using is always out of Tiki. I would like to try it. But, because it is fish-based, I decided to find info on which seafood is safer to eat on a regular basis.

I found some interesting sites and articles, which may help people who are wondering about the same thing:

Its supposed to be made in Thailand , like Weruva, where they have very strict rules . I've been wondering where to get  a can.

Anyone have an update on this one?  A store in my area just started to sell it.  They said it has gone over well with customers so far.

My cat loves it.  He likes pretty much all of the varieties.  I was feeding it to him heavily for awhile, but took him down off of it a bit because I wanted him to eat less fish.  I wish they had a chicken product, but they don't.  Try Weruva as well--they make a similar product in Thailand and now make shredded chicken dishes.  Logan loves them also.

Hello fellow cat lovers....

This is my first post and I'm new here.  About 3 days ago I began
with the Tiki Brand.  My cats love it!  I purchased the package with
all the different flavors/small cans.  Hazel and Tootie also are partial
to Max Cat canned foods.  My pet supply store though had this new
brand and they suggested I give it a try so I did.  Don't like to switch
brands often but occassionally only.  *My cats lapped this food up
like it was from heaven!

I have never tried this particular brand, but according to their website they have now added two chicken based foods to their line of canned cat food.
