I also read that it isn't good to feed raw eggs...  due to a bacteria in the egg white I think, but I am not sure.  I also cook my eggs (Hard boiled) and give them to them shell and all 1-2 times a week. (I crack the shell really fine before tiving it to them)
Willie, your menu sounds really good!

from a cat perspective, the recipe at www.catnutrition.org calls for raw egg YOLKS.  I then cook the whites and add them in too.  So I think I would probably stick to raw yolks only.

Hi,  I just found this site from a reference at petconnection.  Today Pet Promise came up in discussion.  I thought we were in the clear as we switched from Purina to Pet Promise 3 years ago as our Cats were having negative symptoms and reactions to I suspected their food.  So...imagine my surprise when I learn that Pet Promise is a Purina brand.  I emailed them at the beginning of this pet food crisis to find out about their additives.  The gave a short reply to me about not being part of the recall.  I noticed my question about the glutin was never addressed.  So I emailed them again and asked specifically if any of their additives came from China as I am boycotting China for the time being.  They would not address my concerns and told me to call them on the phone.  Does anyone here know for a fact that Pet Promise is Purina company?  I feel so deceived.  I thought I was getting away from Purina only to pay high dollar at my local health food store which most certainly is full of herbs that come from China.  I need verification if it is possible and I know I won't get it from Pet Promise.

I posted this on another thread awhile back; but back in April/May during the worst of the crisis, my vet said to say away from ALL commercial wet canned food until this is solved. I don't know if she feels it's safe to go back yet.

There have been quite a few problems with dry food, as well. Perhaps even more so. So, I don't think that is necessarily the best advice.
