When I accidentially came across a magazine for the pet food industry I read that one company that calls its pet foods 'dehydrated' or sometimes 'dehydrated raw' actually uses a combination of raw and cooked ingredients which they then dehydrate.

Since this company is not certified organic (where also the manufacturing processes are inspected and claims are matched agains the label info) customers don't easily find out such "minor" details.

You are correct Rosie. Many times what is stated on the label or in advertising is not exactly what is contained in the package. Another similar example is of another company who uses the term "Organics" beside their brand name. When in all actuallity there is nothing organic in the the food.

Not exactly on topic but shows how we can be deceived as pet owners.

Timberwolf Organics is a company that implies by their name they are organic but their food is not. I never liked that they try to trick people.

As you can see by the link there is no organic ingredients in the food. if there was they would be listed as so.

I just saw that Timberwolf removed the 'organics' from their name.  Good for those which actually make (certified) organic pet foods!
