I was just reading something a little disturbing on another forum. It's about a relatively new bactirium found in the lining of a cat's small intestine. Not a lot of vets are familiar with it, and it is quite often mistaken for giardia. Here's the link:

sherrylynne, thanks for posting that, I've never heard of it before.  Maybe this is what Rufus (coontuffy's kitty) has?  I'll email her and tell her to take a look.

Thank you Perseus for the heads up email on this post!!

My vet used this information and this is what we tested Rufus for.
His results came back today and they were negative.

The lab even tried to incubate the stool......as it it didn't smell horrible as it is  Shocked

I even ordered the In Pouch tests for myself to test him at home.
Nothing.

This is very valuable information sherrylynne and thank you for finding this and posting it.
