I remember reading about Scarlett's phenomenal feat and heroism --- and saw her on TV too!  I am also so very sad to hear that she has succumbed to kidney disease.  My own darling Kaffe went to heaven on Oct. 8 and I so hope that he is among Scarlett's welcoming committee at the Bridge.

Oh, this is so sad to read.  I remember seeing the news clips over and over again about her saving her babies and how horribly burned she became, and then seeing her adopted by such a loving family.  But, to think that despite all her injuries she lived another 12 years was another miracle.  You're right, meatball, I'll never forget Scarlett's story.  I can just see Kaffe power running with Scarlett in Heaven showing her the ropes!

This is so sad to hear of. I wish she could have stayed a bit longer. She was wonderful and loved by many. She will be missed.
