GG, I'm so glad to hear this news, albeit not what you fully wanted but at least the "C" word is gone.  I think the report you found is important to note and glad you did the research to ease your mind.  Sounds like Misty has very good odds so I'll focus on that thought for you guys.  I hope her boo-boo is healing nicely!

Thanks so much everyone. Oddly, and I mean very oddly coming from me. I'm not too worried. I upped the bio-prep and I know all of it and then some was removed and it seems to be acting more like a Grade l so I have good feelings about it. Not what I wanted but we will deal with whatever comes our way.

The incision looks great. She doesn't need anymore pain meds for it. She leaves it alone. I could actually take the stitches out now but I will pull them in a couple days. Dr. Pete said no problem removing them early if all is healed nicely and it is.

That is great that Misty is happy and doing so well. I am sure her Mom will do everything in her power to make sure she stays that way.  Smiley

Thanks for the well wishes. She had a bath and everything. Can't have her smelling like a dog... Cheesy  Now we need to see the ortho vet about her hip. I think I will replace it in a few months. I want to give her a good break from this last surgery. She's such a sweetheart. After everything we do to her she still drags me in the doors and loves to go to the vet. That will be 6 to 10 weeks of no doing anything but walk on a leash to go to the bathroom and that's it. After that is done she will be good as new. Hubby said to rebuild her so that what we will do. I can't handle her limping getting worse.  Anyway, that is the update. She sends kisses and paws to everyone.

GG, I'm so glad to hear everything is going well for Misty (and you!). She's a real trooper and with such a wonderful mommy I'm sure will pull through anything.  You sound like you have a wonderful hubby, too.  Sending kisses right back to her!  I've never heard of a hip replacement in dogs though.  Thankfully there are such advancements in medical care for our pets and skilled surgeons that you have this option.

Hip replacements for dogs has been done since the 70's. It actually the same as in people. Very cool.

Aww, GG! I am so glad Misty's doing so well. She seems to be healing amazingly well. Do you think it could possibly be due to a loving, doting mamma?  Cheesy

Sorry its been so long. Its been very hectic. Misty is doing great. No signs of any more tumors. She is still on her supplements. I think she will be getting her new hip in a few months. New procedure so Doc wants to see many done before doing it with her. I love him. He cares so much.  Thanks for asking.  I'll try to get on here more often.

Thank you. He is wonderful. She has 3 vets that work together on her whatever she has going on. I used to work with one of them. One is holistic and I love they work together and come up with what's best. Sometimes its conventional and sometimes holistic or both.

I can't wait to get the go ahead on the new hip. Its very exciting to see a hip surgery that isn't so invasive.
