My good old boy MIcheal has been my buddy and cat since his mothers inception with him . He s now nine and a half years old and my love. In his lifetime hes sampled many a treat . But tonight he tasted your Pounce Crunchy Tuna treats and he devoured them. I ve never seen him sooo into a snack and we re talking an 18 lb cat here . Yes, I'll limit his intake but my gosh he loves them thank you much for making his last years rewarding taste wise.

Hi, and welcome to the forums!  Nine years old is still "young" for a cat, especially with all the advancements in veterinary care and the knowledge we now have on what constitutes a good quality diet for kitties.  Earlier this year I had two of my kitties pass away, but one was 18.5 years old and the other was 20.5 years old.  My longest living kitty was over 21!  So I think Micheal may have many more years with you and he's so lucky to have so much love from you to give.

I looked at the ingredients in Pounce Crunchy treats and they are not the best ingredients, so I would recommend using these treats sparingly and only as a treat.

Have you tried any freeze dried treats for your kitty, like Nature's Variety or Stella and Chewy's?  These types of freeze dried treats are whole meats and don't contain the preservatives or additives that the soft-moist types do.

Hello Michael! I agree with Perseus that these treats contain very questionable ingredients such as; corn flour, corn gluten meal, chicken-by product meal, animal digest, ground wheat, animal fat (with BHA as a preservative), dried fish protein digest, artificial ocean whitefish flavor, artificial colors and BHA again used as a preservative. Pounce is not the only brand of treats that contain these ingredients. Many cat treats contain similar ingredients. Either freeze dried treats or bits of cooked or raw meat would be much healthier choices for your young kitty.
