Evanger's FDA Problems

According to this thread reply this week - By Nature is no longer canned by Evangers.

Here we go again is right.  The report says the FDA determined this non-compliance by Evangers in April 2009.  What's today's date??  Why does it always take so long for the FDA or the PFCs to admit to serious problems?  It's bad enough they charge us to poison our pets (in food purchases and taxes), then they let them continue to be sick and die at their own negligence.

 I emailed By Nature today and asked about  who canned their organic and 95% canned for cats and dogs the reply I received :

       HELLO:

Here’s my update:  we are no longer using Evangers; we are now using Menu for our canned pet food.

Pet Owners Unsurprised by FDA Shutdown of Evanger's
 

 "News of the FDA's crackdown confirmed dog owner Leslie K.'s suspicions about Evanger's food — and federal authorities' interest in the company."

"A special agent with the FDA's Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI) called me in May 2009 and wanted details of what happened to my dogs after they ate Evanger's food," the Tabernacle, New Jersey, woman told us. "He came out and said Evanger's failed multiple inspections, and this was not a simple paperwork issue or something to do with an unimportant process. He said it was about ingredients and the manufacturing process and people are not getting what they pay for."

"The FDA announced late Friday that it had suspended Evanger's temporary Emergency Permit — a decision that, for now, prevents the company from shipping products in interstate commerce. The agency said it took this action as a safety precaution."

Sorry B Carlisle seems to be following me all around the net. guess that interview hit a nerve . If they spent half as much time on QA/QC as slandering customers,they might be able to make a decent food.If anyone sees him/her posting on other sites please let me know. I am in contact with 2 others who had trouble & we all want to reply.

  Since By Nature no longer has Evangers do their canning I am wondering when the switch in manufacturers occurred and what expirations dates and/or codes the ones made by Menu or Performance would have.
