Hi Geff - so far it seems to be the dry dog foods.  However, I was in the process of changing dry food for one of my cats and decided against EVO in favor of Wellness Core - partly because of the issues mentioned on itchmo and partly because of all the powder on the EVO dry food.

I've read part of the Itchmo forum, but i can't go through 67 pages. Have ANY pets been reported as killed or seriously injured from this issue?

Since I opened the latest Cal Nat Chicken & Rice bag (though it is an old bag with a pull date of October) Sylvester needs a lot more coaxing then normal to eat it. His health does seem fine, & I haven't noticed ANY foreign matter in the kibbles.

As some of you probably saw in the California Natural section, somebody just reported finding the same type of black bits in their CalNat dry cat food.

Buh bye Natura. Seeya!

And I posted it in the other thread too, but here is a summary of findings so far from itchmo:

I can't get the photo links in that summary to work even after logging into Itchmo. Clicking on any of the photo links (in 4 seperate browsers!) always takes me to post 1, page 1.

Which pictures were you wanting to see Geff?  Here is a link to the photos of the dog food that had the chunks in it.  You should be able to see this without any problems.

It's readable now. Offo originally made an error in his links.

I am stunned!  Shocked I am a RAW feeder to our 3 dogs and supplement w/ EVO lg. bite adult mixed wth some canned ONCE weekly, our 3 cats get EVO cat food. I am switching them to Nature Variety Instinct.
