Hi-a few months ago I felt a squishy lump on my cat. It moves around a little when pushed so I know it's not a skin lump. She's 10 yrs old and has barely ever gotten any vaccinations. When I poke at it she doesn't seem to be in pain although the poking get's on her nerves.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.
I'll take her to the vet very soon.
Thanx

I don't have a kitty but I do have a dog with some lumps and bumps.  He has some sebaceous cysts that are on the skin and just recently, I found another different type of bump.  This one was like you said squishy.  It moved under the skin.  I can get my fingers under it and move it around.  It feels like chicken fat.  I took him to the vet and he said to monitor it for growth, but he thinks its just a lipoma, a fatty tumor.  He said it grows at a very slow rate and are usually benign.  It doesn't hurt him or bother him, it seems.

Yep, our cat has one too.  She's a little over 10 and we discovered it a year ago. Our vet said the same thing.

yeah, I found a lump on the side of my older cat and it's the fatty tumor.  My vet said the same thing and it has not grown in size.. we discovered this for about 4 years now.

Several years ago mine developed something similar to a marble where he was given a shot in in his neck. Fortunately it was benign. At the time we decided no more shots on the neck. Since then, we've decided no more vacinations at all (indoor cat, tends to have reactions to shots & much of the research shows the shots are good for years; it's looking more & more like the every year requirement was more bs from the phramacuetical companies to generate income).
