Came across this study done by University Of Mass regarding pet food's use of cranberries.  Lots of other info like who merged with who, who makes what foods. Doane Pet Foods stated in this study that it merged with Menu Foods in the year 2000--I don't recall this info ).  See study in pdf at:

I thought Doane was an independant pet food company that was purchased by Mars in 2006.
