IMO- I chose a Natura Product after having fed them homemade food.  I was VERY nervous and still am everytime I feed them.  Although, I am not as nervous as I would be if I would be feeding something else.  I went with them because of their effort to inform the public of their testing and that they have close relationships with their suppliers and are all USA ingredients.  To be honest with you, I don't fully trust anyone though.  I think it will be that way from now on.  I also read that Kumpi (many posting here in these forums) has tested for all of the toxins (the one's that were disclosed to us from the FDA)  and all tests have come back negative.  I can't say for sure what food is SAFE nor do I think anyone can, but I think (IMO) I feel safer with these.  Good luck!!  I love beagles very mischievous Cheesy

I dont have dogs, I have three cats, but I also feed them food from Natura. Right now is the california natural dry. They kitties are doing great on it.  I also feed KumpiKat. They are the only brands I feel comfortable with right now.

Hi,
There are choices that appear to be safe for your puppy. Among them are:
Wysong Growth - a  kibble that I have always fed my new puppies with great success. You can add a little baby meat and cottage cheese, yogurt, some cooked carrots, squash, beans to it. I also feed a scrambled egg once a week or so.
Kumpi has a kibble puppy food that you can feel safe with and do the same as above.
Flint River makes a good puppy food as does California Natural. There are others. Go to Petsit USA's food lists and check out some of the websites for these and other companies.
If you want something different try The Honest Kitchen. I use it along with Kumpi for my dogs. I am avoiding all canned food for now but that is up to you. Good luck with your new puppy and just be careful that you feed the best food possible.  Smiley

Our dog is doing fine on Kumpi and EVO dries.

We started Kumpi 2 months agoe (April 10)
and use EVO as her treat since May 7, 2007
