I've certainly cut back on vaccines and I'm thankful the law only requires the rabies vaccine every 3 years now.

Great idea, GG.  I'll try to round up the info on the side effects of Metacam on cats.  I have my 5 month old kitten, Prometheus, going to be neutered on Friday and I have already discussed the Metacam being a big no no on him.

Good. Ask about tramadol. As far as I know its very safe and its not an nsaid.

I have another suggestion. How about an emergency tips topic. Like what you can do before and on your way to the vet for an emergency.

What about a discussion board for pet food ingredients? 

There one could discuss for example, why most pets should not have honey or other sugars in their regular diet, what's new on the allergy ingredient front (e.g., hydrogenated proteins), if cats should eat fruits regularly, what the dangers of refined ingredients are (such as white flours, table salt), why kelp may not always be a good choice, ...

Maybe I did not find the right place yet and this is being discussed already in an existing forum?

GreyGhost, I apologize for not seeing your suggestion earlier, but I just set up a board for pet first aid & emergency topics. This is an excellent topic, and one that I'm quite interested in since I'm a Pet Tech Pet First Aid Instructor. I can't believe I didn't think of it. Doh! lol

Rosie, I set the food discussion up as well.

I put both of this under the Other Pet Topics category.
