Hi guys,
I was wondering today if anyone knows what ingredients go into making the heartworm tablets or chews?  Aside from the obvious ingredient such as ivermectin and such...  what goes into making and preserving the chew or tablet?  The reason I ask is that I was looking at the ingredients of this vitamin my vet recommended and it included ethoxequin.  Also, just wondering if they have any glutens and such.
I don't like giving my dogs heartworm prev. but where I live, its either give it or they will get heartworms almost all year around.

I was having the same concerns as you about HW meds.

In fact years ago when they first invented this drug...it was killing dogs...they had to recall one of the first ones out.

For years I refused to use it. Then we moved to AZ and the disease is widespread here. Plus many of the county shelter dogs have the disease here because they are of the population that keeps their dogs outside. Then at night the 'skeeters come out and feed on them.

I searched all over the package about 6 weeks ago trying to get a clue about where it's made and so forth. If you find out...please post. I would appreciate it.
