PNV2 AND DEFEND OUR PETS ARE TEAMING UP IN THE HOPES OF RAISING AWARENESS OF THE PET FOOD CRISIS.
Jen from PNV2 and Mike from Defend Our Pets have joined forces to bring you nationwide events during the months of May and June.
For the entire month of May, we are challenging members, visitors and friends to contact their local officials and demand that the pet food industry be held accountable and to demand that they raise the safety standards.
PNV2 and Defend Our Pets are asking people to take part in the Pet Food Crisis Awareness Day on May 19, 2007. To participate, all we ask is that you get out and take a 30 minute walk (with or without your pet) and if you talk with other people out walking, encourage them to stay up to date on the recall list and share your story if you were effected by the recall. Please wear a brown ribbon while you are out on this day also.
PNV2 and Defend Our Pets present Relay For Pets on June 9, 2007 (select locations will hold their events on a different date). Cities across the United States will be participating in this event. We ask that you get out (early in the morning) and walk to your local participating courthouse, wear your ribbon, bring signs and bring pictures of your pet(s).
PNV2 and Defend Our Pets is looking for volunteers to help coordinate the Relay For Pets in various areas. Please send all that are interested in coordinating an event to
