I have a questions for those who are familiar with feeding Honest Kitchen.  As I understand, the 10lb. package of dehydrated food when hydrated is actually about 43lbs of food.  Do you measure the food in its dry state or when hydrated when feeding?  The reason I ask is because I have 4 large dogs and its going to be quite pricey to get the food at $70.00 a pop.  I hopefully plan to mix with a good kibble (when I find one)

I mix a dry cup  full with the 1 1/2 cup of water. My dogs are not crazy about it so I add some extra ground turkey, etc and use it to top the kibble. I think they need more time to get used to it. It is different. They seemed to have less of a problem with Force so I will order that next time. I like the idea of it myself.

I have used the 10 lb. HK Preference (vegetable only-no meat) once now. I figured that if it's 1 cup dry to 1.5 cups water, that I could play with that a little. I ended up dumping the entire container of dry HK into a much larger container, and adding....using the original HK container, about 2 - 2.5  HK container's worth of water to it, and let it soak a good long time. It still came out like a really thick soup. Once I added my meat to it, it was like oatmeal.

After all was said and done I ended up with twice as much food as I thought I would.
