My dogs were never exposed to recalled foods. The older one had been fed Pedigree all her life, wet and dry. She really liked the beef chunks in gravy. I decided immediately upon the recall that it could expand and I wasn't taking any chances with a new puppy in the mix as well. So I switched them (after lots of research) to Innova Evo RM (red meat) dry, and began making their wet food. It's been over a month now, and they're doing very well. Less waste in the back yard, loving dinner time, and the wet food I cook has become a routine that is very much worth it, although I will have to trust something else when I go on vacations. Right now I'll just cook them their yams, carrots, zucchini and brown rice with chicken and broth, and enjoy the supper-time happy dance from my little one.
