Anybody reading this forum have any experience with Life's Abundance? Off their website, I requested a free sample pack of both their dry and canned food, treats and vitamins but want some feedback and will do some research before actually using the products. The Petfoodlist doesn't raise any red flags at this point.

I don't know if it bothers you or not, but one product is manufactured by Menu Foods. I'm thinking it's the canned cat food.

The canned (Instinctive Choice) is made a Menu (not sure which plant at Menu, though) and the dry (Life's Abundance) is made by Ohio Pet Foods (here's a link to their website: http://www.ohiopetfoods.com/Recall.htm).

I tried the samples and my cat's like the wet, the dry and the treats.  The dogs liked their samples as well.  Thing is, I'm not sure I like the whole Amway approach.  Although I have no complaints about the way the operate (one of the reps called me and emailed me the day the Natural Balance recall happened because she remembered from my sample order that I was feeding that food.  Of course, I already knew about it because of Itchmo but still - that was very very good of them to do that.  I might, if I ever need a backup food, definitely try their food.

Ahhhh, that must be the one item that the petfoodlist says is "manufactured by Menu Foods but not in the suspect facility." Good to know; I'll probably just wait another week or two since last night started a whole new round of Menu Food recalls; just can't be too cautious it seems!

Bixlo, I'm a little confused about their "Amway" approach  Huh  Do you just mean having to get it directly shipped from them or is there something I missed on the website.  I do prefer to be able to run and pick it up when I need it and not be at the mercy of deliveries.

You can't run and pick up the food.  It's online only so you'll always need to have it delivered (but hey, I don't see that as a bad thing - that's what I'll be doing with Kumpikat) thing about the Amway approach - what I meant was it seems the reps are working to draw you in and get clients and then you can be a rep so the whole selling pitch to me is undermined by that.  If you look at their website you'll see what I mean - no other pet food company that I know has this approach.  Look here and explore such things as "selling methods", "products", "selling system", "your compensation", etc....  http://tinyurl.com/yrqrwb

I am a rep for HealthyPetNet that sells the Life's Abundance pet food.  It is just another way to make a living.  If you think of it, all products that are bought and sold are made my someone, delivered by someone and bought by someone.  It's the way our consumer society works.  Anyone that loves a product or a user of the product can be part of the system.  I love pets and that is way I am in the pet profession.  This company sells consumers great pet food.  It's made fresh and delivered to your door within 6 weeks.  That is a lot fresher than the food that has been sitting in a warehouse, placed on a delivery truck, shipped to a store and then sitting for who knows how long until you the buyer picks it up and takes it home.

I agree!! LA is made fresh and delived to your door in about 3-4 days. Do yoiu know how long any commercially sold food hangs around until it gets to the shelves?? Ummmm...try a year.
How does this happen?? One word... Preservatives!!
LA doesn't have them. Nor does it have ingredients such as Dying, Diseased, Dead, Disabled, Euthanized Dogs and cats!! You be the judge!

I agree with you both! Since my post last spring, I have been ordering LA for my 3 cats. They all love it and are doing very well on it and the company reps I have spoken to on phone calls have been great to deal with. I've been very happy with the switch!
