My story is the same as many of you have gone thru.  On March 20, 2007 I had my precious cat Benjie laid away.  I suspected the food was the issue but as you all know there was very little info out there.  The Vet told me they didn't know yet what the problem was only that they thought it was Wheat Gluten related.  So no tests were done, only the loving act of putting him down so he would finally have some peace.  He weighed 18 lbs before he got sick and in less than 3 weeks he weighed 5 lbs. Unbelievable to think that this happened.  My thoughts are with you Ben-Ben.  I miss you every day.  Sassy and Gizmo also look for you.  Your Girl Chelsay will never get over your loss my big baby boy.  We love and miss you so much.

This is so incredibly sad.  I cannot tell you how sorry I am for your loss, and to have it happen in such a tragic way.  These stories really get to me.  More than ever, I'm so grateful for every moment that I have with my beloved cat, but I feel so badly for those who have suffered such a senseless loss.

Debboraann, Your story makes me cry.  Cry  Poor Benjie; but he sounds like he received a lot of love during his life. How are your other cats getting along? You can talk about Ben here as much as you want and we will listen and respond.

Shocked  Thank you for the replies.  It warms my heart to hear from you all.  Today I got a wonderful surprise...I downloaded some pictures that were on my camera memory and found TWO Pictures I had never seen before.  Benjie and his Sis Sassy in the clothes basket in my laundry room.  I rushed right out and had them made up.  It was so awesome to see him from last summer when he was a beautiful healthy boy.  I will try to post the pics.
