Brans and Germs are very healthy, though. Smiley  There is a lot of nutritional value in them.  I wouldn't discount a food just because it contains brans or germs.

Yes. Those are the best parts of the grain, the ones they tend to strip away during processing.

Addendum to my above post...I was again trying to be funny! Speaking of birds and mice, my outdoor cat brought the 2 insiders a bird this AM. She has obviously caught on that we are making dietary changes. Hmmm, this might work if I can train her to bring several per day!   Wink
