I have been a user of Kumpi Dog Food since Christmas and I am amazed at the health of my dogs.  It is wonderful knowing you do not have to worry about anything harmful in the food you feed.  I am a huge advocate of this dog food.  I order it on line an it is shipped to my door step.  Thank you Kumpi

Does Kumpi give a discount to those who post the same glowing review on this forum?  Grin

I'm sure it's great food. But, it sure is weird how many single threads contain a single glowing review, in almost identical words, as opposed to people adding differently worded reviews to the existing thread.  Huh Plus, the number is so much higher any other brand here.

Again, I'm sure it's great food. But, really, something seems odd to me. Or, is it just because I'm from NY that makes me a little cynical and suspicious? Hey. I guess any food that ain't killing our animals is a good thing at this point.

I agree...this kinda stuff is just too much!
By now, whether we are from NY, Chicago or Phoenix, we are all a little more cynical AND too sophisticated to actually buy into this sort of statement.
It means nothing, nothing...nothing.

I'm the only one to post positive RESULT using Solid Gold and Cal Nat
So, by your logic, I'm not scamming when I also said I gave my dog
Kumpi.

I lived in NYC for over 50 years.

BTW, you don't have to give your pet anything that works for
too many people.

I wonder how many of these "sophisticated" thinkers have even bothered to contact the Kumpi folks?  I have read their moaning and complaining for several weeks now about how badly pet food manufacturers have treated people, how they get no responses or only generic responses, how they have been jumping from one food to another (very bad for kitty and dogs digestive systems by the way) and when a handful of people are trying to help them out by giving info on a food that they are pleased with they deem themselves "too sophisticated" to even make a phone call to the one company that will speak to them, answer all questions, explain what is in the food, etc.
I contacted Kumpi because of the silliness on the Petsitusa blog. Someone with knowledge tried to offer info then, not sell food, and they attacked her. Guess I have these "sophisticated" folk to thank as that piqued my curiosity or I might never have paid attention to her food. At risk of having these companies attacked also I will say that I would feel safe with Flint River, Back to Basics and was always happy with Wysong too.
Well you can't help those who will not help themselves but as a "Jerseyite" myself I dare some of you to actually call Evy Serpa and find out why Kumpi has supporters.

I've always said it sounds like good food. I would probably have tried it, if it was sold locally. But, it is not. I think the real problem here is not a lack of sophistication, but a lack of humor, and the ability to think objectively.

The plethora of repetative glowing testimonials for Kumpi does look odd, almost suspicious, considering the number of them versus other brands, and its relative scarcity to the other brands. The devotion seemed almost cult-like, especially in the defense against what was erroneously perceived as an attack.

So, Kumpites, please lighten up. Nobody is committing heresy against your one true pet food, or blaspheming Evy. Be happy you found a food that's appears to be good for your animal. I am. But, I continue to keep my eyes open, and will remain skeptical of ALL pet food companies for now. Just a little less skeptical of some than others. It would be wise if you did the same. A lot of people blindly trusted Iam's, Science, etc. Now, they have boxes of ashes instead of pets.

And, when you post your positive experiences, try and stick to the facts and details without all of the marketing hyperbole, which just makes it look like a commercial. That way, old cynical pet owners like myself might be more apt to believe it, as opposed to rolling our eyes and snickering.

I can see it now...Kumpites vs Sophisticats!    Wink  When I get a smile from the Forum, it makes my day. Very well stated, Gary. If we can all lighten up we will be healthier, and so will our pets. We are ALL in this together, Thank God!    Kiss

While I don't feed Kumpi due to my cat's fish allergy, I have corresponded with Evy since this started & she seems to be a good, caring person.

I just read through the letters here and apparently I missed a major discussion. Without knowing the background and answering a call from garypen to stick to the facts I offer the following...

My collie is 12 yrs old. She has arthritis and hip dysplasia. I was seriously considering having her put down as she could barely move and was in constant pain. We had to help her in and out of the house so she could go to the bathroom. A friend who has a dog with the same problems told us about Kumpi. We started her shortly after Christmas. Maddie now goes in and out by herself and seldom has to be helped up. I don't know why it works but it does and best of all...it's safe.

Ok garypen, those are the facts and no marketing hyperbole!

Also, in answer to another of garypen's remarks (believe me, none of this is an attack on you, you just had a couple of points I wish to address) while Kumpi is not sold locally, you obviously have a computer so you can go to the website and have it delivered to your door. You don't even have to leave the house. Talk about convenient.

Yes, it's slightly more than other foods. Maddie was raised on Science Diet. I figured the extra cost at about $3 per month. The difference it has made in her is worth far more than that.

You mean that I can have things delivered to my house?!!! Holy cow!!! Why wasn't I told about this?

Of course I know I can have it delivered. I can have anything delivered. But, I'm not gonna try a new food that could very well be left uneaten by my animals, unless I am able to return it easily.

But, it certainly sounds like a good food, especially for dogs.

Garypen ~

What if you were at at threshhold of considering having a pet euthanized?

Your sarcasm towards a gentle heart that is sharing honestly is rude.

The insinuations that the posts that are 'pro' Kumpi receive discounts and/or or fake are starting to get on what few nerves I have left regarding ANY sarcasm directed towards people while we are suffering through this.  I am personally working to help a woman whose dog died from a new bag of DRY food last month - and the information she submitted seems to have 'slipped through the hands' of the FDA, since the info didn't match the lot codes.  Who is helping her after the Dept of Ag, the FDA and countless others are turning her out (not to mention the company she bought the food from, who will not deal with her at all!!)?  Me.

I have worked nine long hard and honest years to bring results to people like Billie who loves their dog and doesn't have to say goodbye as soon as it might have been.  The response to seeming accusations was sincere.

I prayed through a good chunk of my day since I had NYSP K9's working the case today where a trooper was shot to death.  I care about the 'big' high profile dogs and I care about the 'low' profile dogs and cats as well.

Could I politely ask you to think twice before hitting the post key and see if maybe the medium of the written word may be a bit offensive?

garypen ~

Just an fyi for you, I don't ask customers to return product that I ship and they don't like.  I issue a full refund to their credit card and call it even.  It's an effective way for me to deal with things and shows people the confidence I have in Kumpi products.

Yes, I am the President of Kumpi, forgot to identify myself in the above statement, and although I hope it would appear obvious, I don't want to break any rules Therese has set forward.  But I have never asked anyone to incur the expense of returning anything.

Warmly hugs to FurAngels all Smiley

Sounds like a great satisfaction guarantee. Of course, there was no way for me to know that was your policy. So, my logic for not ordering your food to begin with makes perfect sense, does it not?

As for your post before that, I don't know what you are talking about. I made a sarcastic response to someone's suggestion that I could order your food online, as if I didn't already know this. What does that have to do with making choices about euthanizing animals? (Choices I myself have had to make. Boy, it sucks.)

If someone is offended by anything I have said, quite frankly that is their problem for being overly sensitive or imagining meanings that simply aren't there, as I haven't said anything offensive. I love animals. I hate the people who have put profit and greed before the health and safety of our animals, and even people it now seems. We are on the same page here..

As I've said before, but you somehow haven't noticed, thank goodness there are people like you and the Back to Basics guy in the pet food business. If there wasn't, we would only have poison with which to feed our animals.
