It is nice to see a brand that everyone agrees is working for their pets. I should not have made that last post about Kumpi, which I have modified here. I don't know what got into me. I never had an attitude before the recall. I think I need to stop blogging and posting now. I was once of the Positive Thought philosophy until about March 26th. Obviously it has all gotten too much for me. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am going to take a respite from this recall and try to make it on my own for a while. Count me as the first to go off the deep end in all of this. I am sorry, everyone.

Cry So sorry to see an atitude like yours on a site like this. I for one have been following petsitusa (the easiest site to follow Theresa),Itchmo, and now this list for about a month. I have fed my dogs Wysong for years but decided shortly before the scare that it was time to consider a switch. I took my time and checked out virtually every high end company on Theresa's list. I emailed several including Kumpi and Evy Serpa got back to me in a couple of hours. She sent literature to me by email and in the mail. I checked out where Kumpi is made and the processor  makes human food. Everything made sense to me and some incorrect beliefs I had were corrected. She has a very professional manner and a willingness to share. My dogs have been on Kumpi Adult for a week now and seem to like it just fine. Since they are healthy, well fed and two are AKC champions I am not looking for more than a good, healthy and safe food. As a retired teacher with 34 years in a classroom I can assure you I do not do things without careful study. Evy Serpa of Kumpi is a born teacher whether she knows it or not. I had never heard of her or her food a month ago. I have NO REASON to doubt the others who have recommended her dog/cat food. Perhaps it is just a superior company. Sorry for being so wordy but I see absolutely nothing helpful in an attitude like the  one above. WELL NOW YOU HAVE HEARD FROM ME!!! Why don't you give her a call.

Mary K,
I hope you come back.
I understand your "attitude".....I have it too. I can't stop talking about this situation, I can't stop thinking about it...and I certainly can't stop myself from getting the latest info regarding what is going on. I have a responsibility to my animals, my clients animals (to an extent...I am a pet sitter)...as I'm sure we all feel that we do. The last thing that these people need who have suffered personal loss is a fricken commercial! That is the real 'attitude.' They don't need a commercial. They need their family members back...and they are not going to get that. That's the bottom line.
When someone loses a human family member to a tragedy such as a malfunctioning car accident, or through a drunk driver...we don't go up to those people right away and say 'I have a 100% guaranteed non-malfunctioning car for you here,' or 'I have liquor here guaranteed not to make people drunk so they can go right out and drive right after drinking.' We just don't do that.

Don't let these folks scare you off of Kumpi.

They sound just like the fundamental moslems telling
people not to get vaccinated, because it will kill them.

Read my post in "Dog Nutrition"

I'm a retired environmental engineer, in short I know toxicology,
organic chemistry, cellular biology, communicable diseases and
geotechnology.
I had to know all these thing to protect people, like cleaning
the water loaded with toxins and pathogens that people flush down
the drain not knowing that people drink the same water downstream.

How many people know 80-90% of birth control hormones and
gets flushed down the drain? Guess what it's doing to the aquatic
life forms we eat?

There are very good reasons for giving my sick dog California Natural
and now EVO, both canned by Menu Food.

Knowledge of science and technology and calm logic vs
"don't use it! Too many people say it's good."
duh
