Pet food settlement checks

For those of you who filed claims because of the 2007 pet food recall, have you received your check yet? Many people have, and are getting only a fraction of the amount of their claims.

Here are just a couple examples:

Claim $1850 - paid $23.80
Claim $1500 - paid $26.12
Claim $1156 - paid $9.86

I'd really like to hear from others who have received settlement checks. Are you getting the full amount or just a fraction?

If this info is accurate and the norm of what is being paid out for the pets who were made ill and/or perished due to the tainted food, all I can do is shake my head in disbelief and disgust. 


What a slap in the face to the owners of these pets who deserve to be fully compensated and so much more for their pets pain and suffering.

OMG, I am upset to think this is the amount of dollars given.  My Dylan (cat) was euthanized, one of thousands.  We have recieved a notice stating a check is forthcoming.  Didnt quite understand this "notice"as there were 2 items listed that we would be "disallowed" the "full amount" or something to that affect.  I certainly will post here when we receive this so-called check.  Thanks for the email.

Haven't received any check yet~but what a kick in the gut. No WONDER they got the 'no appeal' clause!

It turns out the reports of small checks was a hoax. Payments have not gone out yet.
