I hear you, Cindy, but Goldy was writing about this happening here - right in the good 'ole US of A!  A commentor over at the Pet Connection blog, named Bernie (who if I recall correctly is in the cattle business), has posted much of the same thing.  I can't even get my brain wrapped around it, it's so heinous.

I know!
I guess I'm trying to point out that really our practices are not much different when it come right down to it.

Oh!  Thanks for clarifying.
My poor old addled brain hasn't been so swift as of late due to not getting much sleep keeping up with all of this.

Same here...although for a bit, last night I was lying awake wondering what's going to happen on the next Sopranos episode.

Hey, You guys gave me an idea...How about a new TV show or movie about tainted pet food ? Spike Lee, are you reading this? Now if that didn't get the public's attention on this horror! You watch, 'couple more seasons and it will be a hit. Only way worse than Soprano's dirty work!

I'm sure that more than a few Italian Americans have ended up in pet food or hot dogs, over the years, as well.  Wink

Has anyone heard anything about the DRY cat food, which is (supposedly... at this point I trust nothing any of these companies claim) manufactured by Diamond?

Last I heard, Costco was testing their food, but I don't know if that includes the dry food.

Diamond emailed me saying they did not use rice protein in any of their dry formulas including Kirkland, but somehow that does not make me feel better, since any of the other ingredients might be from China and who knows at this point what else might be contaminated.

Does anyone know anything more about it?

Yes, I too, am interested, as I have a friend who has been feeding only Kirkland Dry to an outdoor cat for a good while. Thanks!
