February 14, 1998 - February 27, 2010

Tequila owned my heart from the moment my friend Sabra plunked her in my arms and said, "hold this a minute." Now I can't imagine my life for the past 12 years without her. She may have been a little kitty, but she was a huge part of my life from the moment we met.

What a gorgeous little girl.

I have no doubt that you must miss her very much.  Sad

It is never easy to let a beloved friend go. The heart hurts forever it seems. I still miss my kitties that have gone on, and still long to hold and kiss them even though it has been years since they have left me.

Sayings prayers that your heart will heal so that the memories of Tequila will be comforting.

Therese time will make your heart hurt a little less.
As the hurt eases the mind goes back and relives the wonderful memories that were made with Tequila and her family.

Godspeed sweet Angel Tequila.

Big hugs to you Therese and continuing prayers that all will be well with Lydia.

When you go outside at night- look up. The biggest, brightest star shining up there will be your Tequila watching over you, as you've watched over her for these last 12 years.
She's running on lush green grass, playing with all the other animals at the bridge, waiting for the day you join her at the bridge. She's the breeze you feel in your hair, the sun's warmth you feel on your skin. And she's waiting for the moment you are finally able to join her there.

I don't know what I'd do at a time like this if it weren't for people like all of you! Knowing there are others out there who understand this pain is helpful. Thank you!

Any more news on Lydia?  I'm still waiting to hear what the final word is on the biopsy.  Didn't you say some other docs were going to go over it & let you know what they thought?Huh??

Hi Hannie,

Thanks for asking about Lydia. I don't really know much yet, which is why I haven't posted. Lydia's doing really well - no signs at all of being sick so I'm hoping she's not! But, I finally pushed the vets to do something today even though they haven't come to any conclusions. I'm taking her in to see the oncologist on Monday, when the radiologist will do an ultrasound as well. I'm hoping her vet and the onco. will be able to talk before then but if not, I'm still taking her in. I want them to figure out one way or another what this thing was that they removed.

I'll be sure to let everyone know what I find out Monday.

Thanks for the update. I know I have been wondering. Didn't they get the pathology report yet? I would think they would have that by now. Keep us posted.

The pathology report showed it to be a benign hemangioma - most likely. They are concerned though, because there were some cells that looked abnormal, and the tumor was in a lymph node. The pathologist says there's a very slight chance it could be malignant, so we're doing the ultrasound.
