Yesterday, I decided to make up a turkey stew........I have to tell you that I did sneak a few tastes & it was really good.

I had two frozen turkey drumsticks that I threw into a big pot, cut up celery, carrots & a yam (next time I'll put that in later as it was pretty mushy), sprinkled a tad of garlic powder & parsley, threw in a can of chicken broth & added water.  I simmered that on the stove for about 2-1/2 hrs & then added a white potato & let it simmer for a while longer.  Turkey was falling off the bone so I knew it was done.

I took the meat off the bone (you have to be very careful because there are a ton of tiny, sharp little bones), added some of the broth w/fresh water........voila, Miss Hannah's Turkey Stew.  I didn't use the water because I left the skin on & it was very greasy (I know, once it's cold I can skim off fat but it sounded like too much trouble).  The turkey & veggies were really yummy.

Naturally, she liked it (she's like Mikey.......she likes anything)! Wink  I probably have enough for at least three days, otherwise I would put it in the freezer.
