For the last week, whenever Herne(9yr old Siamese) eats kibble, he upchucks. Doesn't seem to matter what kind. Now this is the same cat I had go anorexic on me twice in the 6 months I was trying to get them all on first canned, then raw. The first time was with the 1/2 and 1/2 raw/canned, the second on the straight canned. Which is why he was finally put back onto kibble(Evo). Refuses to even sniff any form of wet food.
He's acting normal, pooping/peeing/drinking, etc. All normal. If I take his kibble, soak it, puree it, and syringe it- he's fine. I can syringe baby food, canned, anything moist(he refuses to eat it if it's not kibble).
But- I've tried the Evo, Wellness Core, even that cr*p Whiskas. He vomits within an hour of eating any type of kibble. And all it takes is a small amount of the stuff.
Any ideas?

Well, he's doing better. Starting to eat a bit of soft food on his own. As long as I don't give him any kibble, he seems to be fine. It's just so weird!

Hi sherrylynne

Yes that is very strange but I am glad to hear that he is eating soft food on his own.

It may have been that he was experiencing some type of digestive upset. Eating too quickly can cause this also.

Hopefully he will continue to eat the canned food with no problems.

Thanks, Bonkers. It's just so strange that with the kibble dry- he vomits. If it's turned to mush, and syringed, he's fine. Or with canned, he's fine.
My big concern is him becoming anorexic again because he really wants the kibbles. With the canned, he eats maybe a tsp at a time right now. Since he's 12lbs, it takes several feedings to get enough into him!
