I have read conflicting information regarding dogs and garlic. One of the ingredients in Spots Stew is garlic.  Any information anyone has about garlic  and dogs would be appreciated.  Is anyone feeding Spots Stew to their dog? Any information good or bad information regarding it? Thanks

Hi Vickie,

This subject has been discussed on various threads on this site for a while.  I even started a thread on it at one point, and there is a link in it that might be helpful to you.  See here:

It was also discussed quite a bit on this thread:

Hope that helps.  Some people do not believe garlic is a concern for dogs in small amounts, but others prefer to avoid it anyway, in order to be extra cautious.

Yes, I do use garlic in the case of infection or inflamation in my dogs. I usually use in conjuction with probiotics, and run the course of it about as long as a course of conventional anti-biotics would go.
