Since I have been going thru more issues with Jasper lately due to his food sensitivies, I recently looked into using Green Tripe as a supplement for him.

Green Tripe (unbleached) is the highly palatable and easily digested stomach lining and stomach contents of either lamb, cattle or deer that contain partially digested grasses and grains, digestive enzymes, gastric juices, amino acids and essential fatty acids (omega 3 and 6).

Tripe has the ideal calcium:phosphorus balance and contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, probiotics, phytonutrients and vitamins.

Green Tripe is available in both canned and freeze dried form. I chose the freeze dried and keep it in my freezer. I then just crumple up about a teaspoon of it and use as a topper on his wet food.

So far he seems to like it and I am anxious to see if this helps with his digestive and food sensitiviy issues. I have read that it is also beneficial if a pet suffers from a poor coat.

I didn't even realize you could get it freeze dried! I've been avoiding it just because of the smell Cheesy. What brand did you get Bonkers? And where?

I use Companion Natural freeze dried tripe. Dr Harvey's, Oma's Pride and Bravo makes them also. There may be a few other brands out there.

Thanks! We have a few natural feeding(read raw Cheesy) pet food stores around here. I'll check them out first, and if I can't find it there, I'll order it online!
