Hi all!
I am a university student and doing some research on dog food either wet or dry. I have to create a new product for them and I just need some tips to help me through my creation. I love dogs however, I don't own one which is a bit sad:(
Can you all help me out please in telling me what is good or bad for them..or any changes you might want in their diet.
Thanks

If only it were simple enough to sum up in one post.

It took me months of researching to learn all I have about dog food, what the ingredients were, what was good & what was bad.  So trying to sum it up is pretty much impossible.

My advice is to start searching.......there's a ton of info on the internet about the ingredients in dog food & comparison of different brands of dog food.

I sure wish I could help you......perhaps somebody else might have some other ideas but the only thing I can suggest is to do research & a lot of it.  That's how I learned & actually wish I could go back to those days when I opened a bag of food & threw it in my dog's bowl.  Those days are long gone! Rather than checking websites for you, I Googled "ingredients in dog food" & came up with a zillion websites:

http://www.google.com/search?q=ingredients+in+dog+food&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Happy reading! Grin

Hi Shashee,

Welcome.

Could you please give us more info about what kind of "product" you want to create?  Do you mean a "food" product?

I see that you're a university student doing research.  Is your research related to food science, veterinary medicine, marketing and advertising, manufacturing/engineering, other?

Is your "creation" a student project, or do you work for a pet food company?

Do you have contacts with a pet food company?

Would love to help, but more info needed.

Thanks.
