GreyGhost,
Our eating habits have changed drastically. Don't eat out, and don't buy prepared foods. This saves $'s for healthier food options. LOL, DH still has to have his potato chips, though.
Luckily, we're able to buy farm raised fresh chickens and locally grown vegatables from a small community mercantile grocery.
Only eat beef occasionally, and haven't eaten pork since the FDA thought it would be swell to feed contaminated Menu food to hogs.
Have noticed that most (all?) meat in the large grocery chains are "enhanced" with flavorings and sodium solution. Not good for those who must restrict their sodium intake.

Another company that sells to other companies: http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm169471.htmPlainview Milk Products Cooperative, Plainview, Minn., is voluntarily recalling instant nonfat dried milk, whey protein, fruit stabilizers, and gums (thickening agents) that it has manufactured over the past two years, because they might be contaminated with Salmonella. The company sells these products to other industry customers, including distributors and manufacturers, who may have incorporated them into their own products. None of Plainview’s products were sold directly to the public.Hummm, might be a good time to make your own ice cream. Here's an easy homemade ice cream recipe. No eggs, no cook. Makes about a quart in one of those little electric machines. 10 oz. Half 'n Half 8 oz. Whipping Cream 1 Cup Milk 1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract 5/8 Cup Sugar Mix and let sit overnight in fridge. Stir a few times to disolve sugar. This makes about 1 quart of mix for an electric ice cream maker.
