Thanks for the reassurance, Perseus! My three seems to love the stuff, and it's readily available where I live, so I hope I can continue feeding it to them. Funny about the grain-free aspect...they all attack my toast! I give them little bits. At least I make the bread, so know what's in the toast.

Thanks, Bonkers....I agree nothing is 100% safe, but I was hoping maybe what I'm feeding my 3 wonderful cats now will not kill them. (I lost two Maine Coons during the last big recall.)
