Most of the brands that I have mentioned  are sold in big box pet stores like Petsmart, PetSupplies Plus or PetCo. Others may be found at smaller pet specialty stores.

Hello dodipayne!

The only thing you can really do is keep trying various canned foods untill you come across one that they like.  I am really not familiar with the Sheba brand but if I remember correctly the food consisted mostly of chunks of meat in a little sauce.

I would try to find a similar product, such as Wellness Pouches, Avoderm Select Cuts and I believe Blue Buffalo also makes a chunky canned food. I am sure there are other similar ones out there, the trick is finding one your kitties will like.

HI Sherrylynne!

First let me say that probiotics may not help his situation. But if you would like to give it a try I would definitely purchase one that is made for expecially for pets. The reason being is that there are so many different strains of probiotics it is hard to distinguish which are the most beneficial. Anyway at least make sure they are dairy free. Some brands also include digestive enzymes which may help kitty to break down the food.

Animal Essentials Plant Enzymes & Probiotics is a brand I have used in the past. I have also used one from Aunt Jeni's which has probiotics and slippery elm, but no digestive enzymes.

ETA Correction: The Aunt Jeni's also contains digestive enzymes.

Hello dogophile and welcome to the forums!

According to the pet food list Wysong only has two canned formulas that are manufactured by Menu. The pet food list has not been updated for quite some time so I would contact Wysong directly for the answers to your questions about their canned formulas.

Wellness kibble to the best of my knowledge is NOT made by Diamond.

57  Dogs / General Dog Health Discussion / Re: Yucca for Hip Displasia? on: October 09, 2009, 08:50:52 AM
Hello GSDMOM and welcome to the Pet Food List Forums!

To answer your question yes, I have read that it can be used for this condition. There are also a couple of other supplements that are also used such as glucosamine and MSM.

If you google "Yucca for Hip Dysplasia" or "Canine Hip Dysplasia" you will find quite a bit of information.

I believe there are a couple of members whose dogs are also suffering from this condition. Hopefully they will share their experiences.

They now have a statement posted on their website but you kinda have to look around for it on the home page and they have it listed under promotions.

So this is another case of a premix that was not manufactured properly?
I wonder if their premix's come from Trouw???
59  Dry and Wet Foods / Orijen / Re: Cat deaths linked to Orijen on: October 01, 2009, 09:56:22 AM
I must say that this does not suprise me in the least. I suppose they had to put a stop to it at some point, BUT they should have reimbursed everyone accordingly  and followed some type of consistant protocol for each pet owner. To reimburse some pet owners for certain needs or treatments and not others for the same is just not right.

Bottom line is that it was all Champions fault and their respnse shows no "compassion" to me what so ever.  Angry
