16  Dry and Wet Foods / Natural Balance / Is NB even around anymore? on: June 16, 2007, 02:52:09 PM
Does anyone still use Natural Balance and if so, how's it going?
Just curious!
17  Cats / General Cat Health Discussion / Lump on my cats side on: June 13, 2007, 04:32:04 AM
Hi-a few months ago I felt a squishy lump on my cat. It moves around a little when pushed so I know it's not a skin lump. She's 10 yrs old and has barely ever gotten any vaccinations. When I poke at it she doesn't seem to be in pain although the poking get's on her nerves.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.
I'll take her to the vet very soon.
Thanx

My vet said my CRF cat didn't need phosphorus binder. My vet is not a nutritional genius though or else she wouldn't be ramming Hills K/D down my throat. Angry

That's so cool! Yeah, I stumbled upon Wellness when we adopted a dog. The rescue fed their dogs Wellness Lamb dry food and Wellness wet and so we continued with that for him. Then I decided to chance it and try Wellness for my cats. I give them the Wellness Indoor dry and either the chicken and herring or turkey and salmon canned.

My CRF cat is due for a checkup soon.
They LOOOOve the Wellness canned and look great too.

I'm weirded out about my vet being Hills Science diets' bitch! It's scary that they push that filler crap. Although when I first brought my cat to the vet to be diagnosed with CRF she had been eating Fancy Feast and Purina Urinary tract formula. (Yum). So actually the RX food helped her get a little better at first. Probably giving her tired kidneys a break. But YES, nutritionally the Wellness is much better. Keep up the good work.

Wow, Lisa M, I am so happy to hear your report of Wellness for your CRF cat. I can't believe I was suckered into using Hills K/D! Oh well, I'm living in the present now!

Just an update. My dog and cats are still doing great on Wellness. No more puking by the cats and the dog still eats his. Everyone's fur is looking great and their energy is up.

My dog and cats are doing great on Wellness. Blood test normal!!

Hi, I feed my dog Wellness Lamb dry and Lamb and Sweet potato wet and duck and sweet potato wet. His blood test came back normal today!! My CRF cats were switched to Wellness Dry for indoor cats and Wellness Chicken and Herring wet. They look better, their pee smells less strong and in smaller amounts, and they have gained a bit of weight. Overall way less sickly. They were on Hills Prescription K/D wet and dry.
I took them off of that after all of the recalls. I'm glad I did. They seem a lot healthier. Just wanted to share.

My cats threw up Felidae Wet both times I fed it to them. No more for them. I use Wellness now and no more puking.
A side note: Just because the ingredients sound good on paper doesn't mean the quality is good. Not poisonous, just bad. Conversely, just because something is manufactured by Menu foods doesn't mean it's poisonous either.
