I'm not sure how that is in anyway reassuring to anyone.

Am I missing something?

Our contaminated pet foods were not imported from China - they contained contaminated ingredients imported from China.

The contaminated feed/pet food came from US manufacturers.

Have they really all traced the ultimate origin/source of every one of their ingredients?

They mention using soy and corn meal (soy & corn meal being investigated by the FDA)?

I've been feeding my 3 dogs Performatrin Natural for several years.  I tried to research the "rice protein concentrate" issue.

The bag says "rice gluten" their website says "Performatrin Ultra formulations do not contain Wheat Gluten, Corn Gluten or Rice Protein Concentrate "

It does not mention any products other than "Ultra" It does not equate Rice Protein Concentrate with Rice Gluten, which it is!

I have also been unable to find any information that refers to Performatrin other than ULTRA.  Are they hiding something?  Or just being intentially misleading?

Why won't they talk about their "OTHER" products - you know the ones that take up the most space in their stores?  Those products do include RICE GLUTEN aka Rice Protein Concentrate & Wheat Gluten & Corn Gluten & Corn Meal!!!!

I emailed, I phoned.  I did get the following email response

Performatrin Natural Lamb & Rice is one of Pet Valu's private label
products and is manufactured by Hagen Industries in upstate New York. In light
of the recent issues, Pet Valu has done our due diligence in sourcing our
ingredients and can assure you that our rice gluten is imported form
India, not China.

I hope this helps you feel confident in continuing to feed Performatrin
Natural Lamb & Rice to your dogs.
