Moxie,
Yes, I did too. I don't care for the wheat, either. But they do make a Lamb, Millet, & Rice formula. Wheat-free.

Cindy,
Thanks so much. I was really worried. Thinking that everything I fed her had the possibility of being "poison". I guess only a REAL pet lover would understand that. And I know all of us here are in that category. I felt so guilty for switching her so much, knowing that would make it nearly impossible for the vet to identify the specific food, if it turned out to be "melamine" or whatever. But fortunately it was only an upset tummy from all the switching. I can't stress enough, everyday switching has a good chance of upsetting their tummies. Please, treat it as such before assuming the worst. BTW, she's barking, growling at the neighborhood noise, running and fetching her favorite throw toys. <whoosh, wiping my brow>
She's feeling sooo much better now, and so am I.
Thanks for the concern.  Smiley

Francisco,
I see he hasn't answered yet. I am also concerned because my granddog eats B2B. (I don't feed it anymore because my shelties don't do well on corn.) However, Chenango seems to be having a track problem as of late. Please see Dr. F&S new recall on their website. No rice protein concentrate in the formula, but batch followed a run (possible cross-contamination) of another melamine "infected" formula. Don't know if that's "kudos" for Dr. F&S or bad for Chenango. Wish I knew the answer as well.

Just wanted to provide an update on my baby girl. She was able to keep down the cottage cheese and water on Tues. The FRR didn't come in until Tues. Kept down the multiple very small feedings of FRR on Wed., Thurs. 3 small meals of FRR, Fri. 2 meals (back to normal). She has been a little piggy and is back to her sheltie-barking-spinning-herding our heels self since Thursday. Boy am I relieved!!! Not switching anymore unless I find out something  bad. I feel safe with this one. BTW, she is getting the Lamb with Millet and Rice and absolutely loves it.

My baby girl started thowing up  Sunday and Monday. Couldn't keep anything down. Fed her cottage cheese and water with a syringe all day Tuesday. Today (after the Flint River Ranch came in) I fed her small amounts of that several times today. I was worried that, with all the switching, I had fed her something bad (tainted). But she was fine today with the Flint River. Guess I just messed up her stomach with all the switching. Staying with the FRR for now. (Please everyone, keep in mind that the all too frequent switching that many of us are doing now can upset their tummies, and it is not necessarily tainted pet food.)
7  Dry and Wet Foods / Three Dog Bakery / Three Dog Bakery on: May 01, 2007, 09:48:59 AM
I just wanted to add a point of clarification to the information provided regarding the Three Dog Bakery food. They changed their formula right after the notification of the tainted wheat gluten so that wheat gluten is no longer added. However, prior to the recall they did put wheat gluten in the dry Chicken Recipe for Active Adult Dogs. It is on my label, and I called the company when the story broke to ask about it. They assured me it did not come from China and was local. After that, they changed formulas. However, like many of you, ANY wheat gluten is off my list as of the first notice.
