A very reliable toy, mine have lasted quite a long time, esp the heavy duty black ones..i put treats or peanut butter in em. They are life savers when you have to keep em occupied when i have to drive to the gate and "sneak" out!!! We are on an acre and the driveway is pretty long, an open gate is very tempting with out a KONG to keep em busy!!!

Dry and Wet Foods / Newman's Own Organics / Oregon Tilth

This is getting soooo frustrating... OK so Newmans Own is proudly proclaiming that their feed is "certified" by Oregon Tilth? Well another company that is certified by "Oregon Tilth" is the maker of the contaminated fish feed and pet supplements... Bio-Oregon. Their website was under construction this morning but I did a "magic" thing and saw some of the other products they manufacture. I just bought another bag of Newmans Own for my doggies, oh! who can we trust anymore besides our four legged friends? GRRRRRRRRRRRR Be Safe Not Sorry

Aloha!
Having a hard time finding a food I trust out here in the middle of the Pacific!! I would very much like to try Kumpi! Currently I have scoured several stores within a fifty mile range, Iams, Eukanuba, Nutro, and Purina. One health food store has Newmans Own (dry), which I am feeding now but I have two more to check. Is their a Kumpi (dry) distributor near the zip code 96720? Thanks in advance.
Luck to All

More questions... I have been reading almost non stop about these recalls since the beginning, and also I have added a few things here and there. Today as I was reading all the updates I find that some posters saying Newmans Own petfood is being grouped together with the likes of Purina... Anyone know why that is? I've heard loads of opinions on various foods, loads of "facts" from the companies themselves and trying to make a "safe" choice but this Newmans Own and Purina grouping is mind boggling. I live in a very small community not many choices here, shipping costs are high and am testing products with alot of skeptism before i have food shipped in... So..has anyone HEARD of what exactly is wrong with Newman's Own products. I am feeding two dogs, 2 and 6 years, 25 and 50 lbs. Thanks in Advance

I am wondering how far the FDA or their contractor(s) have gotten on their testing of vegetable proteins? I don't see many updates on their site.

Hope all pets are doing well! I have been throwing all my pet recipes in a crockpot and freezing the batches!! I rarely cook for myself, so we are all benefitting, I add my own spices and such after separating their portions! I will draw the line when the next batch includes chicken hearts and kidneys, ICK! They also get a side order of Newmans Dry, which I don't! Keep up the good work everyone! Ooooops forgot to add an interesting site I found: http://www.nasc.cc/MISSION: Members of the National Animal Supplement Council are concerned and committed manufacturers of animal health care supplements across the globe. Together they endeavor to improve the quality of animal supplements sold to consumers for the benefit of their horses, cats, dogs and other companion animals.
